Often when people decide they want to lose weight, get in shape or go on a health kick, they change a million things at once. Inevitably this becomes overwhelming and after a few days of trying to completely overhaul their lives they fall off the wagon and revert back to the same old lifestyle they had before. A bit more deflated and even more unlikely to believe they can succeed the next time. You’re starting on Monday right?
Changing habits can be difficult. Effectively you have to unlearn the habit and then relearn a new habit in its place.
The biggest mistake people make is trying to make lots of big changes at once. This a big challenge and one that’s isn’t likely to be unsustainable in the long term or just completely overwhelming.
What I’d like you all to do is identify one SMALL habit you’d like to change and make it a BIG priority. Psychologists say it takes 21- 90 days to make a permanent change to your habits. They need to be practised day in day out. And before you know it you’ll be doing it without even thinking about it. Like brushing your teeth 😃
Ok go… write the first habit you’re going to work on in the comments. And let’s get to work 😍
