Taking responsibility for your life and your actions can be one the the most empowering things you can do. Realising that you are not only the cause but also the solution to your problems and struggles can be hugely liberating.

Often we feel victim to our circumstances, for example, “I’m an emotional eater and there’s nothing I can do about it” .

Is this really true? Or are you just giving yourself permission to eat when you feel sad, tired or stressed?

We are all in control of our choices and actions. You are your own boss. No one is forcing you to eat when you’re stressed, its a choice you make. Not taking responsibility for your behaviours, certainly works in your advantage in the short term – “It’s not my fault I ate a whole packet of biscuits….I’m an emotional eater” but will it get you to where you want to be? Will that choice cause you more unhappiness or pain?

When you blame others or circumstances, you give up your power to change. Once you accept that your behaviour is your responsibility you can start to make steps to change those behaviours. Every action or choice you make has a consequence and accepting that it’s YOU that’s in control of this is the key making sustainable changes to your life.

So have a think, what behaviour could you take responsibility to change TODAY!

You are in control of your life, so grab it by the horns and create the version of you that you long to be by taking control.

Keep your eyes peeled next week for the launch of my second online program which will start in January. The perfect time for a fresh start and taking responsibility for your health and fitness.
